We have a dream that every 11 to 18 year-old would get the opportunity to make a difference in their community and that they would see that they truly can change the world.

We have a dream that each youth gets the chance to experience meaningful community service that’s life-changing, that each volunteer sees they truly can make a difference about the issues that matter to them and that their input matters to the community.

We have a dream that all members of the community—young and old—will stand up for what they believe in and choose to make a difference in their neighborhoods, cities and nations.

We have a dream that the needs of our community would decrease more and more each day as more volunteers step up to fill them and that one day, these needs would be entirely met by an army of volunteers.

We have a dream that everyone would respect each other and see that communities are made of diverse opinions and that no one is too young or too old to be taken seriously by society.

We have a dream that you will join us in making these dreams a reality throughout the year, but especially this Monday in honor of Martin Luther King Day of Service. Connect with a local YVC program to get involved in a project or go to www.mlkday.gov for more ideas on how to make your big ideas a reality, starting by serving on MLK Day.

We want to hear from you! What are your dreams?
