Youth Volunteer Corps in Kansas City is part of a network of programs in the U.S. and Canada that offers youth ages 11-18 the opportunity to gain skills and improve their world through volunteering. YVC mobilizes diverse teams of youth volunteers from across the Kansas City community to complete meaningful service-learning projects to address a variety of important needs. Since 1987, the YVC network has engaged over 300,000 youth volunteers in over 5 million hours of service to their communities – and we want more!
YVC seeks a youth development enthusiast to serve as a Team Leader in Kansas City during summer 2019. Team Leaders will work collaboratively with the YVC Headquarters (YVCHQ) team and student leaders to supervise youth volunteers at meaningful service-learning projects. Team Leaders report to YVCHQ’s Program Specialist and Youth Advisor.
YVC is headquartered in Kansas City, MO. The YVCHQ team will provide training for all duties and responsibilities along with resources to support these activities such as service-learning curriculum, data collection software, icebreaker collections, marketing materials, direct support, and more!
